Use this guide to go from an empty canvas to a saved in-app template: create the template, build the layout, personalize it, style it, then save. Follow the steps below, or jump to a topic when you need it.

  1. Create a template

    An in-app template is a reusable design you build once and show in campaigns. Create one in the built-in editor from scratch, or open an existing template to customize it.

  2. Build the layout

    Drag content blocks onto the canvas, such as headings, images, buttons, timers, products, and more. Personalize copy with Merge Tags, or use display conditions to show different blocks to different users.

  3. Style the template and configure device behavior

    Set document, color, and typography defaults for the whole template. Open In-app settings to configure position, animations, and the close button for how the message appears on device.

  4. Save the template

    Save the template in the editor. It appears in ContentIn-apps, ready to preview, edit, or use in campaigns.

Save your logo, colors, fonts, and block defaults once as a Brand book, then apply them to any in-app template in one click from the built-in editor’s menu.

After you save, your template appears in ContentIn-apps. From there you can preview, edit, clone, or delete templates. View and manage your in-app content
