Anchor link to- Plain text only. Facebook Messenger delivers plain text: templates, buttons, and attachments are not supported.
- A message tag is required outside the 24-hour window. Meta only accepts free-form content inside the 24-hour window opened by an inbound message from the user. Outside that window, the message needs a message tag matching one of Meta’s approved use cases, or Meta rejects the send. Pushwoosh does not independently track window state, and surfaces Meta’s error when the window is closed and no tag is set.
- No per-message read tracking. Meta reports reads by a watermark (timestamp), not tied to a specific message ID, so Pushwoosh can’t confirm that an individual outbound message was read.
- Live sending depends on Meta App Review. The channel only delivers once Meta has approved your Meta App’s Messenger permissions for the connected Page.
