Register Viber contacts

For a customer to receive Viber messages, they must have a valid phone number and be registered as a Viber platform subscriber in Pushwoosh. This guide explains how to register contacts by importing a CSV file.

Automatic registration

When a contact messages your Viber Business account for the first time, Pushwoosh registers their phone number as a Viber subscriber automatically.

How to import Viber contacts from a CSV file

Viber contacts are imported through the shared Import contacts wizard, which can register email, SMS, WhatsApp, and Viber subscribers from the same CSV file in one pass. Map the column with phone numbers to the Viber channel to register them as Viber subscribers. Enter the plain phone number in E.164 format. Pushwoosh adds the viber: prefix internally.

You can then use this data to create segmented and personalized Viber campaigns via Customer Journey.
