Getting started with LINE messages

LINE is a widely used messaging platform and offers a powerful way to connect with your users. With Pushwoosh, you can send LINE messages as part of your marketing campaigns through Customer Journeys, using either predefined templates or free-form text content.

You can also send messages via the API or manage direct 1:1 conversations using the LINE Messages interface.

With LINE messaging in Pushwoosh, you can:

  • Send promotional offers and product announcements to subscribed users.
  • Re-engage inactive users with personalized messages.
  • Notify users about order confirmations, delivery updates, or appointment reminders.
  • Trigger messages based on user behavior or external events.
  • Use LINE messages alongside other channels, such as push notifications, email, and SMS, to deliver unified, omnichannel user experiences.

To start sending LINE messages with Pushwoosh, make sure the following requirements are met:

  1. Set up your LINE account
    Create and configure your LINE account. You must have an active LINE Official Business Account and a LINE Developers Account.

  2. Connect LINE to Pushwoosh
    Link your LINE Official Business Account and Messaging API channel to your Pushwoosh project. Learn more

  3. Activate and pay for LINE Messaging
    Make sure LINE Messaging is set up and billing is enabled.

You can send LINE messages in Pushwoosh using the following methods:

Send LINE messages via Customer Journey. Use message presets for rich content and formatting, or enter freeform text for quick, plain-text messages.

Trigger LINE messages via the Pushwoosh API. This method supports both template-based and plain-text messages.

Use the LINE Messages interface to chat directly with users you’ve previously interacted with. You can view message history and send plain-text replies in a 1:1 format.
