## Combine channels for maximum impact

Pushwoosh allows you to seamlessly combine these messaging channels to create effective, omnichannel campaigns. By delivering the right message at the right time through the most suitable channel, you can maximize user engagement, improve retention, and boost conversion rates.

Whether it’s sending a push notification to re-engage a user, following up with an email, or delivering a final SMS reminder—Pushwoosh gives you the tools to build cohesive, cross-channel messaging strategies that drive results.

## Limit how many messages users receive

Avoid overwhelming your users with too many messages by using **Global frequency capping**. This feature limits the number of messages per channel within a set timeframe. Once the limit is reached, no further messages are sent until the period resets.

You have full control to set custom limits for each channel to match your engagement strategy and exclude critical messages like transactional updates, security alerts, or urgent notifications to ensure they always get delivered.

## Decide if a message is marketing or transactional

For Push, Email, and In-app you choose whether each message is **marketing** or **transactional**. This affects opt-outs, frequency limits, and whether the message is sent to users in the [global control group](/product/audience-data-and-segmentation/global-control-group/#what-users-are-included).
