# Email suppression list

The **Email suppression list** shows every email address Pushwoosh stopped mailing after a spam complaint or a hard bounce, across your whole account. Reactivating an address here takes it off the list for every project, not just the one you opened it from.

To open the list, go to **Settings**, then select **Email suppression list**.

<Aside type="note">
This is the same suppression data shown on a subscriber's own profile. See [Reactivate a suppressed email address](/product/audience-data-and-segmentation/user-explorer/#reactivate-a-suppressed-email-address) to reactivate one address at a time from there instead.
</Aside>

## Filter and search the list

Use the filters above the table to narrow the list:

* **Search by address:** an exact match on one email address, not a partial search.
* **Source:** **Any source**, **Spam complaint**, or **Hard bounce**.
* **From** and **To:** limit results to a date range.

Click **Apply** to run the filters, or **Reset** to clear them.

## Review suppressed addresses

The table lists matching addresses, newest first, with these columns:

* **Email:** the suppressed address.
* **Source:** **Spam complaint** or **Hard bounce**.
* **Date:** when the suppression occurred.
* **Reason:** a human-readable reason based on the mail provider's feedback. Long reasons are truncated in the table. Hover over a row to see the full text.
* **Recorded in:** the project the suppression was recorded in.

The list is paginated at 50 addresses per page. The total count of suppressed addresses appears above the table.

## Reactivate an address from the list

1. Click **Reactivate** in the address's row.
2. If the address was suppressed for a spam complaint, check the box confirming the recipient has renewed their consent. This is required, and the reactivation can't proceed without it.
3. Optionally, add a **Comment** (up to 255 characters).
4. Confirm to reactivate the address.

This is the same reactivation as on a subscriber's profile: it clears the [**Bounced Email**](/product/audience-data-and-segmentation/user-data-tags/tags/#default-tags) tag, re-registers the email device if a complaint had removed it, and is logged for audit purposes. See [Reactivate a suppressed email address](/product/audience-data-and-segmentation/user-explorer/#reactivate-a-suppressed-email-address) for these details.

## Export the list as a CSV file

1. Filter the list to the addresses you want to export.
2. Click **Export CSV** at the top of the page.

Pushwoosh prepares the file in the background. A banner appears at the top of the page while the export is in progress, and a download link appears in it once the file is ready.

<Aside type="note">
The **Export CSV** button is disabled while an export is already running, and when the current filters return no addresses.
</Aside>

Reactivating a suppressed address requires sufficient account permissions. If the **Reactivate** or **Export CSV** button isn't available to you, ask your account administrator to grant access.
