Getting started with emails

Email is an effective communication channel available on the Pushwoosh platform. You can use email independently or combined with other channels like push notifications, in-app messages, SMS, or WhatsApp.

Here are some of the examples of how you can use emails for your business goals.

  • Onboarding & engagement: Welcome new users, highlight product value, and drive first purchases.
  • Re-engagement: Reconnect with inactive users, including those who’ve opted out of push, by sending targeted offers and updates.
  • Product launches: Announce new products, showcase key features, and gather customer feedback through follow-up push and in-app messages.

Before you can send email messages, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Configure your email platform

    Verify your email and domain to ensure email deliverability.

  2. Add email subscribers
    Import an existing email list or register subscribers via API.

  3. Follow deliverability best practices

    Keep your email list clean, use double opt-in, and avoid spam-like content to protect your sender reputation.

Before designing your email, ensure you configure your email settings, define languages, personalize subject lines, etc.
