# Fill content from a link

**Fill from link** saves you from retyping a page's headline, summary, and image into your push. It reads them straight from that page's Open Graph tags, the same metadata social networks use to build link previews.

<Aside type="note">
This works only when the on-click action's link (the [web page URL](/product/content/push-presets/#link-to-web-page) or a [deep link](/product/content/push-presets/#deep-link-in-application)) is a real URL, not one personalized with a Liquid tag or template. If more than one link is configured, Pushwoosh reads the web page URL first, then the deep link set for all platforms, then a platform-specific one.

## How to fill content from a link

Fill from link needs the push's on-click action set first, since that's where the source page comes from.

1. In the [Push presets editor](/product/content/push-presets/), [set up the on-click action](/product/content/push-presets/#define-the-next-step-for-users-who-click-on-the-notification) with the link you want to pull content from.
2. Leave the push title and push message empty for the language you're editing. About half a second after you add the link, Pushwoosh fills both fields, plus the banner image, from the page. If the page has no Open Graph tags, nothing happens and your fields stay empty — Pushwoosh doesn't show an error for this silent fill.
3. To pull fresh content into fields that already have text, click **Fill from link**, next to **AI composer**, below the push message field.

**Fill from link** fills content for one language at a time. Switch to another language tab and click it again to fill that language too. Clicking the button on a page with no Open Graph tags shows an error and leaves your fields as they were.
